Just introducing myself.
I'm Joe. I have three progressive neurological diseases. Two of them are terminal. I've outlived my particular form of MS by more than five years. I was even given a year, "give or take", the beginning of last February. I've reached a point where I am starting to feel my body starting to break down. I also lost my soulmate, lover and best friend July of '22 RIP.
I've done numerous builds but have always dreamt of skoolie. I finally found one for decent price and purchased.
My beloved Lisa knew that I was a road Dawg long before we met and was always so supportive of me on this. To the point that I had a built out van that she helped get together. She would even tell me to get myself out to the woods and camp because she knew it helped 😂
Anywho, accompanied pictures are my new rig

Welcome!

Interesting body lines on that bus. I like the fact that the door is behind the passenger seat and that There is a good space for a passenger too!

I like it!

What yr. make and model is that bus?

On a personal note, sorry to hear about your troubles.... We all carry some sort of load in life and yours seems much heavier than mine...All I can say is may the lord bless you and continue to give you strength and happiness.

Life is about chasing your dreams so the chase is on!

What part of the country you at?

Thank you my life unfortunately is what it is. However, that being said. I will not let my past break me or Define me. I know just how blessed I am to have survived as long as I have. And then at least in a small amount I'm grateful that she passed away before I did. I really don't think she would have been able to grieve for me like I have for her while also suffering from her diseases. My beloved Lisa passed away in one of the rarest Progressive neurological diseases on the planet and also the second most painful disease known. The rig itself is a 1990 Chevy Transit bus by champion. It has a 6.5 l V8 Diesel with only 180,000 on the odometer. And when I purchased it it came with all the wood to put in the floor, it's already been pre-wired for 110 and Gray Water Systems already installed. I paid $3,200. I'm currently in southern Indiana. But will be driving the bus back home in 2 weeks from this Friday back to North Carolina to spend time with my sister before getting back on the road on another awareness campaign for chronic pain patient rights. That was one of the main reasons why I bought this was so that I could still advocate for the people I do and have a safe place for me to rest when traveling to and from them
