:greetings: Nick and Lexi here, sending greetings from Melbourne Florida! We're thrilled to have begun our first tiny home bus conversion, as well as socialize with others who share the same interests. Our 93 Thomas "book mobile" found us last July. Our rig came equipped with an onan 7500 watt generator, insulated celling and walls, and two coleman 13,500 btu AC units on the roof. Needless to say we lucked out! We are now working on our framing, our inverter energy and battery packs. Most of the mechanical work is complete and we are rolling on 6 fresh tires. We eagerly look forward to future advise and interaction within the forum. Thanks for reading and check out our photos!

We have a Coleman Roughneck unit on our bus ... but have not had warm enough temperatures to try it out. How do you like your units?

Thanks!! They seem to be really realiable so far. Only need one unit in use at a time really. We can turn one on in the middle of summer down here and almost immediately feel the bus cooling down. When ever it's really good and hot out we do get a little condensation drip on the inside. Haven't looked into what's causing that though..

Thanks! It came this way. Not sure if it is original but we plan to keep it this color and hope over time it getts weathered. The decals are all off though! So how did the color get it's name "conversion blue"?

Yours is a slightly different shade, but many converted buses out there seem to have chosen a blue/teal color.

I'll have to take credit for the term. SO many buses get converted and painted a similar shade. Its a GREAT color, and thus I decided I'd give it my own "official" designation. Its prolific enough to deserve/warrant a name!

We dig it for sure! It is a great color. A lot of people have asked if we are going to paint it. We plan on leaving just how it is. Hopefully over the course of time it will grow a strong patina to it. I am encouraging the older look with a some surface rust showing up.
Love the name of the color and thanks so much! We are ecstatic about our find!

Not a problem! Hopefully after we service ours the inside drip will stop.. I'll have to do some searching and see if I can find someone with a similar problem. See what they did to stop it. Or if it can be stopped?!?

My A/C units have a condensation tray built into the plastic cover. Then it drains down a tube to under the bus. The drain connections can leak or the drains look easy to clog. I pulled mine down to work around them and that's what I've found. A good cleaning and check of connections will likely help.

Just about anywhere in the South, A/C drains clog up with algae. There are bleach tablets you can put in the catch tray that help a lot, but you will still very likely need to blow the drain lines out from time to time.
