Hi there. I just bought a 4-foot Bluebird schoolbus that I intend to turn into an off-grid capable tiny home. I am so excited - I've been dreaming about this since I was a little kid. I have NO idea what I'm doing - I figure I'll reasearch and learn as I go - and hire out a lot of the complicated work. Looking forward to perusing this site, as well as seeing what everyone else is working on.

Welcome, where did you find a four foot bus?
I doubt you'll really need to "hire out" if you just take your time and do plenty of research.
You yourself can do it. I "hire" friends for the things I don't know and I look on while they're helping. You'll learn new skills and make new friends as you go.
You will learn who your real friends are when you have a bus project going.
Real friends show up, really good ones show up with beer!

Ha ha! Ya'll are hilarious! Love the pic. B-) Good to know that my new bus won't be a money pit though, and that I can do the work myself. I don't know a lot about construction and I don't own any tools, but I learn fast and am not afraid of hard work. I guess the first order of business is to rip out the inside and insulate the bus. Is there a thread here about that?
