Help! 1995 Electronic shifter Allison md3060

Can anyone help me figure this out. Allison md3060 1995 with Cat 3116: I have this. 0 IN SERVICE MODE 0 blinking displayed in my electronic shifter. My bus starts fine even with the shifter removed. The do not shift light stays on, and when I push the arrow up, and arrow down buttons the shifter will only display d1. I have never worked on anything before and Allison tried to sell my a new ECM over the phone. If you have any ideas for me to check it would be of great help.

Hey, I'm this is about four years too late, but I've got the operator's manual, and the troubleshooting manual for that transmission.

Currently looking for the manual for that engine
