I bought one of those Flame King 100 lb., 29.3 gallon propane tanks from Amazon. 31h+m3cx3oL._AC_SY400_.jpg

I installed it under the bus, bought a POL to Type 1 adapter

And...

...

It doesn't fit my propane tank. Is it a bad adapter, or does this particular propane tank have a different kind of connection than I thought? There is no documentation on the Amazon page, the manufacturer's page, or with the propane tank itself.

Frame mounted tanks do not use the pol adapter. The manufacturer can tell you what fitting to use.
Except they don't... no documentation on their website, with the tank, or on the tank itself. Any idea what kind of connector I need?

I would take it to your local rv/camper dealer they would know what it needs for a fitting as that is an rv tank

Try looking for a connector for an ACME valve, quick closing valve, OPD.
Might even be just start off with a standard BBQ grill hose connector to a valve mounted ridgid which would give you some flex line out of the tank?
Good luck

I'm not a propane expert, but I put my two stage regulator directly to the valve on the tank. If you aren't using lines rated for high pressure, your going to have a bad time when you turn the valve on.

IMO/experience, most of the lpg items will probably be close to the water columns needed to run. Check what all of those are first and build the system accordingly. Make sure your lines are large enough to carry enough volume of propane whatever distance they need to go.
