I'm already not happy about all this, you don't have to tell me to "enjoy my bus"- we all know I'm not.
But this isn't because of how it was purchased, even though the school were dicks. Its about Navistar building garbage. I didn't know it, and it took me buying/owning one to realize what junk these later DT's are.
Lesson learned for sure. See if you catch me ever buying one again.
Sorry for the delay in responding, -35 here with windchill so lots of chores to do to survive.
"I think of us as "friends", man. Its hard to understand folks' emotions and intents on a forum. But sometimes it comes across as utter condemnation and judgment from you, man."
May we always be friends CB.
I agree with not understanding emotions and intents on a forum.
It is also a place to question whatever is questionable and you certainly have left me no choice but to try and understand your thinking and/or methodology.
All this will pass but if one other person learns from this discussion, about not buying blindly, being so eager, going deeply into debt with a bus purchase, the consequences of one's actions then we have done a service to all reading.
Yesterday I pointed your case out to someone intent on doing the same as you to show him the pro's and cons, so to speak. Difference is he has/will have the coin necessary and not be in such a bind as you.
I can feel good about that.
You attempt to justify your position and can never convince me that is the way to buy a bus or do business. An expensive lesson for you for sure but a learning experience for all.
I do hope you enjoy your bus getting done what it takes, is there any other choice. You shouted me down , not the other way. I was only trying to see your perspective from the beginning and can say yours is NOT a sound theory in choosing, finances, debt load for anyone and homework not being done. Can't blame Navistar totally, there design has an MO to get these machines sold, back for service and the parts end. All manufacturers operate the same! Saying that, there dealer treated you like a pos, so I hope people hear that also. You certainly are not in my mind CB. I know, words are cheap right?
I want you to know CB I will always be here for other assistance on matters that arise if need be. I do understand cost effective solutions so, feel free to ask, I am out and won't bother with this thread having made you so uncomfortable. My apologies for that but not to others considering a bu purchase. Expensive fixes at times but purchased rather inexpensively in most cases. Some people should appreciate they have a roof at all before a venture such as this.
So, hope others can relate to both our views and opinions. Good luck everyone.
Peace bro,
John
