Hello, so far I've taken the seats out, and I'm about to take replace my floors/remove walls/expose electrical. As of now, I'd planned to leave the heaters in, but I reminded myself that I'd be using a wood burning stove. I was hoping you guys could give me some pointers on how to uninstall the heaters, there are two of them. My bus is a 1994 Carpenter International with a 466 DT engine. Let me know if you need more info. thanks guys.

You might need them while driving down the road from point A to point B.....

Just close off the heater hoses at the cutoffs. they'll be there when/if you need them

Id work them in to under cabinet or under a seat or something. But if you need to take them out under the bus find the coolant lines. unhook them there (after draining the antifreeze) and LOOP the lines together, do not plug both lines cause the coolant must flow.

thanks guys, I drained the coolant, took out the back heater, gunna leave the one up front on, i figure I'll use a wood burning stove if i need one for the back, which is where my bedroom is going to be, and use lots of blankets. I left the front one in. Wont be able to use the wood burning stove while I'm drivin, so if there is anyone sitting on the couch in the living room, they might need some heater heat. Headed to the hardware store to get a "U" shaped metal tube.

Hello, This is the first time I have posted to one of these discussion groups and I wanted to ask you what you thought about keeping floor heaters.
We have a 2004 International 7 window school bus that we are starting to remove the floor. We are thinking about keeping our Webasto heaters and maybe moving the one in the back.
We would like to know the pros and cons to keeping vs removing the heaters. Thank you so much.

Wont be able to use the wood burning stove while I'm drivin, so...

I often drive my bus with the stove burning, usually just good hot coals but if I have passengers to tend it while I'm driving, it never goes out.

I wondered if the U from the hardware store worked for you. Do you have a Wabasto furnace that is hooked to your heaters. We have a short bus with not enough room for the back heater, so any information you have would help, thanx.
