Choose the "see calendar of lowest fares" feature and it will show the cheapest travel dates, airlines and fares.

ATL to TWF is expensive. I looked. ATL to BOI is $340 or so. from boise it is 128 miles to twin falls. short bus ride to save $300 plus dollars?

There were better deals, but seems all of them left at like 7am, which would require me finding someone (Uber) to pick me up about 3am. I am not a morning person. Then that flight would take you to Fla., an hour away, where you can get the connecting flight at 6am the NEXT DAY. The lowest fare is a actually a nightmare to deal with. Doesn't do any good to save on the airfare if you have to add another night in a hotel.

I paid $392 to Twin Falls, worth $50 to not deal with a 3 hour bus ride. I leave Atl. at 7pm and arrive at 11pm and have my friend, who lives in TF, pick me up.

Next time I get the urge to, I think that I'll go sit in an overused porta-potty for 12 hours instead.

I found ATL to BOI for $211 and they are MUCH shorter flights.

If it were me, I think I would fly ATL to BOI and rent a car for the balance of the trip.

What times and layovers did that flight have? I've acknowledged there are cheaper flights than I booked, but I'm not jumping through hoops to get there. I wanted the cheapest flight TO GET THERE, at a reasonable time.

I just checked it out. To get that low of fareI have to buy at least 3 weeks in advance. My flight to TF for $392 would cost me $435 if I booked it today to Boise, and then the rent a car or bus we won't ride. What sucks is Enterprise will not let you drop a car at Twin Falls, even though they both have airport locations, so keep that in mind.

The cheapest one is 2-1/2 weeks out. I was trying to keep it no more than 2 weeks out as it was. Anything within 2 weeks and the price almost doubles. The flight you sample here is on the 16th of June.

I wasn't sure what your time frame was.

There are flights June 8th -13th for $317 and on the 14th for $217.

You can plug in the dates that work for you and see lots of options.

1000 miles per day is some serious rolling. Not to say it can't be done but I would not be enjoying it! Bring ear buds.

I would do a 1000 miles a day when I rode my BMW & that was harsh, 14 years later I still feel it in my rear.

I'm looking at a motorcycle at an auction in Ore. If I win it I will pick up the bus in Id., head 8hrs. west and pick up the bike. Then I'm looking at 2600 miles. I'll need to break that into 3 days of 800+ miles. $800 in fuel to get home, yikes. Hopefully they give it to me filled up already, although they'll run half of it out bringing it to me.

They just had 3 full prepped 2006-07 BMW R12RT-P'S with lights, sirens, radar and radios sitting at $1500 till the auction ended. It was few days before that I finally realized the had "Law Enforcement Restriction" on them, meaning they were only available to other police outfits. If they did not sell ( they didn't) they would strip the police stuff off and reoffer them to the public. They all had 50k+ miles, but were regularly maintained by the BMW dealer. There was fleet in Calif. being offered also, all with 100K miles on them, look brand new.
