I’m Dave4696 and I’m brand new to the site. None of you know me, but hold on, that won’t last trust me! So I just recently fell in love -twice! And not the smooch and run kind of love, but the Pepe le pew kind of love! So here I am early 60’s just cruising through life, old surfer from SoCal now in Oregon and and started to think about getting a good dog because I sure as hell couldn’t find a level headed woman. Even ask god what was wrong with me. Then BAM what do you know, I met one. Funny this is I already knew this one. Turns out I bumped into my very first girlfriend. Very first, you know the girl I dated when I was 16 and experienced everything with for the first time. Yea that one. And wouldn’t you know it… there was something still there. After all those years and miles and experiences and I am back in love with my first Girl. Thanks God! Oh but wait, he wasn’t done! So as things go I’m making plans to move back to Humboldt to be with my girl and instead of renting a Uhaul and spending a bunch on that which seemed like such a waste, why not buy something cool, pack it with all my belongings, cannonball to Humboldt, Unpack and tada! I’m moved - plus I now have a cool project to work on So I start looking and in short order something catches my eye. I go back, look, shake my head and say “nah” and start to turn the page -
And I swear she winked at me! What! This -thing was ugly ! ! But ugly in an interesting way. So the more I look the more I see and within a few minutes I have the phone in
My hand and I’m going to look. So When I see her up in the trees there she saw me and the show began. Now I’m not a strip club kind of guy but this old gal put on a show for me that had me hook line and sinker and sold within about 5 minutes. As soon as I walked up to her and stepped in knew I was IN LOVE! Again!! She’s boxy and built like a tank.
Shes sassy because she’s been there and done that -just like me. She’s a 1991 Carpenter P30 and I am completely in love with the old girl. She is so cool you can hear James Brown playing even when she’s turned off. I know long story to get to the point but that’s where I’m at People. And it’s Just too damn funny. She got the 6.2 L diesel and an overdrive automatic. That’s all I know. She’s in great shape and runs well. Beyond that I know nothing. And since I work on everything and do everything myself I want to know everything. So please,
