Howdy. My wife and I are in the planning stages of our bus. We plan on cruising the states and a bit into Canada for a year or so with our corgi. Were gonna be cruising the forum and taking in all the great information on here. Probably going to be asking a ton of questions, (we'll do our best to not ask repeats). We're based in southern California. Married for just under a year. Hoping for a 5 window bus with a 7.3, cummins, or duramax, hooked up to an allison trans. I was an auto mechanic for about 5 years. Just wanted to say hello and introduce ourselves!

Hey all! Thanks for the awesome welcome! We just picked up a 2002 E450/Thomas 5 window! everything was cool bringing it home until the brake lights and tail lights stopped working. Tried to get em going until about midnight, in a liquor store parking lot. Let my wife go home and rolled out the sleeping bag. My first night in the bus didn't go as i had hoped it would. Haha. We know have it parked safe and sound in the driveway. Whew. So I'll be cruising the forum for help and advice. I'll get a thread going in the build section with some pictures in the coming week. Thanks again for the welcome!

Welcome to the forums! If you can fill out your profile some more (User CP in the upper left corner of the website) that'll help guide people with advice when you have questions. With the E450, is that the V-10 gas or is it diesel?

Beautiful! That certainly helps. It's worth looking through the powertrains section for specific plants. I know there was a very helpful guide pertaining to your exact engine. Some people have posted manuals and wiring diagrams from the coach builders, so it might be worth doing a quick search to see what turns up. Otherwise, read a bunch, don't be afraid to ask questions and be sure to post your progress to help/inspire others.
