Hi All! New member with shuttle bus

Hi Everyone -

I just joined. I have a 2012 Chevy Duramax shuttle bus. So not exactly a skoolie but in the ballpark?

It is having DEF issues and is 33 miles away from being put into limp mode. I am in San Diego and you'd think I could find a shop to work on it. But no. At 26' long it is too big for all the shops I've talked to. It's either a clogged injector or a heater in the DEF tank that is going out - I've gotten diagnostics done a couple different times. Any advice on where I should post a question about finding mechanics for buses in San Diego? Thanks in advance.

ya i found myself in a weird position when i first got mine and was looking for a shop.
regular shops said i was too big and big diesel said i was too small.
i did find a big one to at least help me out when i was in a jam.
a couple of diesel shops didnt want to work on my bus?
i think they just didnt want to hassle with my E chassy?
diesel shops like to simply remove whole truck body to work on them.
i took mine to a shop because i dont want to work on it either LOL
snub nose E chassys are tight.
i eventually found a cool little shop with knowledge & patience to work on mine.
said they had just done a ambulance.
just look on-line for every shop, check reviews.
drive by and look, talk in person.
hopefully you will find a good little shop soon!
