So happy to be part of this forum I figure I have a lot to learn considering my bus... Kobe (tortoise given she's not going anywhere
) is the first in my area Jinja, Uganda.
I bought a rather rusty shell of a bus as scrap. Looks like a MAN 407 but i really couldn't be sure and could use a little help in identifying the make and model. Kobe is 8ft wide and about 40ft long.
The plan is to restore Kobe and just park her somewhere as a semi-permanent home. we sold off the engine and most of the underside parts we don't need.
Any pointers, ideas would be awesome!
So far we cut off all the rusted frame and replaced it with new bars and angles. and coated them in red oxide. We saved the panels as we could reuse them and increased the height of the bus by about 1 foot.
Looking forward to hearing all your thoughts!
