How can I break into my locked underneath storage compartments?

But I believe the name was an acronym -- HAL, not Hal. I don't remember what the acronym stood for, though.

"HAL" was actually a play on "IBM". Go back in the alphabet one letter from I-B-M and you get H-A-L.

the easiest way to defeat a simple lock is with a similar key and some jamming. you know how a bump key works? or get a lock pick kit or, grind or drill out the four rivets amd replace with carridge bolts. after that buy a new set of locks. or get a locksmith out to make new keys for it. either way, it will cost money, long term, buying new locks is a good way to go imo, but more difficult to find so it takes more time. locksmith is pretty cheap and fast as ****.


edit... saw the above comment, if theybare numbered, then this is the way to go. cheapest and fastest.

It’s probably rusted, I’d go one of two
Routes. Locksmith. Or drill it out. Carefully so you can replace the lock mechanism, $15 each.

If the big screw driver in the lock tumbler trick doesnt work then next step would be to knock the heads of the rivets off and youll have enough room to get behind the latch and pop the rods off if it has two side bar latches or if if is just the 1 latch holding it door will fall right open

Or just go to a locksmith and give them the tumbler code LL25 to get new keys. Chepest locks out there and not many different keys. Out of hundreds of trucks in the company i work for probably half are keyed with the 5075 coded tumblers. Thank God for honest coworkers

Destroying the robots is a waste of time, drilling out the tumblers of the lock would leave the latch in good form- allowing you to replace the $5 lock.
