How to Fiberglass

Very informative! Thank you for the written and video information. Im in the process of absorbing information/ideas before I dive 100% into the bus. Definitely be using this thread through the build! Just yesterday I was thinking about my front door... the stock bi-fold door needs to go. Was going to replace with custom house door if at all possible. Thinking of making custom wood door(Dad is a woodworker) or having a custom insulated steel/fiberglass door made(figuring to be expensive)

Then I saw your post. Just wondering what your thought on a custom fiberglass door being made by a complete fiberglass rookie? Worth the effort?

Is the type of fabric that the resin adheres to important? I ask because I have access to scraps of fire resistant 3M glass cloth tape, FRP398. It has an adhesive backing and looks like it's used on the large airplanes. Could I use this material with the resin?
