I’m going to pick my bus next week. Since it hasn’t been driven recently, I’ll probably have to jump start it.

Can anyone with this type off bus tell me where the batteries are? I believe there are 2. Is there anything different about jumping them then a regular car battery?

Thanks!

Judy

I won't guarantee it, but I believe these Express van cutaway cab setups will have the battery or batteries under the hood on one side or the other of the engine bay. I seriously doubt a gasser will have two batteries, that is usually a diesel option.

jump like a standard car with the battery under the hood. if both batteries are dead just leave the cables on a while longer. you could also isolate the start battery by tripping the breaker that connects the accessory battery. mine is in the engine compartment to the left of the start battery. once you get it started make sure to reset the breaker or your brake/marker lights wont work (when you press the red button a little arm pops out at a 45 angle kinda hard to see as its all black plastic but to reset simply push that little arm back in)

Thanks! I picked up our bus yesterday and it started right up. The breaker must have been still flipped because the accessories didn’t work, although the headlights and windshield wipers did. Was on a time crunch so didn’t mess with it. Would have been nice to have a working radio for that 9 hour drive though!
