Just found the forum and am loving it. I bought a nice little Short Bus in GA back when I was moving from North Carolina to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan (moved up here to care of my 89-year-old mother who can't live by herself any more). Used it to move a bunch of business equipment up and store until I got my house remodeled so I could move it. Roughly 128,000 miles and I put new tires on it when I got it. My plan is to turn it into a mobile vacation cabin and I hope to start working on it this winter. Sorry about the picture but it's the only one I could find on this computer...

Found another one! First picture was back in Wilmington before the move and this one is from Newberry when I first got here. Kind of a change in temperature!

If you ever get tired of the bus, I'm sure someone in Mi would like to have one that isn't rusting apart!
I like that size bus for casual use.

Thanks for your replies!
Sad to say that I just got rid of the car. I started looking at all the work I needed to get done here at the house and realized that realistically it would be 1 1/2 to 2 years before I would be able to work on it (this house is over 100 so that's going to take time plus a new shop, installing a wood boiler and the bus are also on my list of things to do...). I traded it to a buddy for a bunch of tools I needed worse than I needed another project. It's a 1974 Super Beetle with a Classic Motor Cars 1929 Mercedes SSK body. She's a looker for sure! Google Gazelle...
As far as selling the bus, even though I have never put a for sale sign on it, I still get a lot of people asking. Unfortunately most of the people up here want to buy it for nothing. I've got $1500 in the new tires alone... I'm hoping to use it for craft shows. I can load it up and leave everything on board as well as sleep in it. With my car, I have to load and unload every time I do a show and also pay for a motel. It has a chairlift but I'm probably going to pull it out as it takes up a lot of space.
