Just purchased my first Skoolie! A beautiful 24ft 1974 Ford B-500 gas V-8 manual 4 speed with 2 speed rear end. I have been reading the forums endlessly and am thrilled to start this adventure. All questions, comments and advice are welcome.

Thanks, I love it. The plan is to convert it for full time living. I have it stripped and have cleaned out all the rat and mud dobber nests. I replaced all the air ducts that were falling apart and fixed the wiring that gremlins had chewed up. I have filled all the bolt holes in the floor with JB-Weld. Mechanically its pretty good. Needs exhaust leak fixed, brakes bled, new battery and a tune-up. There is some surface rust here and there but nothing major. The passenger side front wheel well is rusted out under the battery. Not sure how I'm going to replace that. A few window slides are broken and dont close all the way. Id like to fix those but I may end up removing them and covering them with sheet metal. I am in the process of obtaining a title through the Vermont title loop hole. I haven't decided on a floor plan yet. I already have a wood stove, generator, oven/stove combo, and a window unit AC that mounts above the rear exit. I really excited for this project and am so grateful for a resource like this.

Looks really cool. It also looks like there would be plenty of room under that hood to drop in a pumped up Cummins 6BT.
