For those of you that have hydraulic brakes you might be able to save some time and money from my experience.

Just a few days ago I noticed a puddle of brake fluid forming under the bus. Upon closer inspection I discovered it had all leaked out. It turns out the master cylinder is in bad shape.

The master cylinder is full of rust and the inside is staring to get pitted. The pitting allows fluid to seep past the O-rings. I am hoping the damage is not so bad that I need a new master cylinder. I was quoted by NAPA $216.00 for a new one.

Of course all this could have been avoided if the school district and the previous owner had changed the fluid regularly. The fluid is nearly as dirty as the engine oil. It is full of rust and corrosion.
