Hi all:

I’m planning on running some hydronic heating in areas where the spray foam will be applied and I’m concerned a out the effect the heat will have on the foam.

I’m reading online that the hydronic heating should be below the maximum temperature fir the spray foam, but none if the places seemed be speaking from experience.

I could ask the spray foam company, but Being from south Texas, I feel confident that none of them will have personal experience with hydronic heating.

Has anybody installed spray foam over hydronic heating and observed the results?

I seriously doubt your water temp will ever hit a temp that would effect the foam. :thumb: I routed lines in rigid board on the floors to contain my lines.

I’m doing the same thing in my floors with that pink XPS rigid board. But it looks like I’m going to run a hydronic loop against the metal ceiling, with the foam sprayed over it, as a way to melt snow from the roof. I wasn’t sure how similar spray foam would be to the rigid XPS but I suppose that XPS is pretty much just a spray foam that was formed into a giant block and then cut into sheets.
