Hi everyone! Welcome to my "I bought a bus" thread. I bought a 1991 Bluebird All American Rear engine. Here are some quick stats:

8.3 Cummins Diesel
Allison MT 643
217,000 miles
40' length
pass-through underneath storage
marine paint
laminate "wood" flooring

I plan to move in full-time very soon. I'm in Colorado. I'll keep adding my progress as I make headway. I'd love any and all help and suggestions.
Sept 6th: purchased the bus
Sept 10th: got insurance with Progressive (...wait for it...)
Sept 11th: registered as an RV and got license plates
Sept 20th: was notified by Progressive of my upcoming cancellation of my school bus conversion

Plans

Here are my plans:

- insulated walls, windows and ceiling with all windows and cracks sealed with painter's tarp and tape
- tankless propane water heater
- shower, bathroom sink, kitchen sink
- composting toilet
- Predator 3500 gas generator
- $1000 (but expandable) solar system with batteries stored inside (it's cold here)
- two-wheel car dolly setup to tow my vehicle

Welcome !

You know, it's not fair that you get a nice bus, all painted, on the first try and get it all legal so quick. :wink1:

8.3, MT643 and pass through storage. Very nice!!
