I am freaking livid right now.I've been watching this 2nd bus on PurpleWave.com. I am accustomed to the auctions being extended at the last minute. I was high bidder for the last three day but someone came in last night and bumped my $1500 bid to $1550.The auction ended at 12:30. I watched the clock count down and went to add a $1800 bid, went to hit the bid button with 5 seconds to go and as I hit the button it said "CLOSED". The other guy won it at $1550. I'm pissed, the world just does not want me to have a skoolie.
My only out is that this bus needs a trans main seal and hopefully when the buyer gets there and finds he can't drive it off maybe he'll renege and the seller will call me.

That sucks man. Ill cross my fingers and hope the buyer backs out! Seems like thats happened a few times recently for people, so maybe youll get lucky too.

What kind of bus?

2000 AmTran 3000, DT466, MT643, low miles excellent condition. Bought at auction from Tn. last year. Old guy ran out of enthusiasm and is selling. Cranked it up after sitting the winter and found it has a probable blown trans main seal as it is leaking pretty good out of the bell housing. I'd already contacted repair shops in the area to change it out for $1300, plus the $1600 bus price would have had me in the bus at around $3K. Seats already removed was another huge bonus. After I told the seller he needed to update the auction listing to show the tranny issue, he just added to the list "Transmission leak". Hopefully the buyer read that as a minor fix and will be disappointed when he finds he can't drive it more than 5 miles without topping off the fluid.
