I Got Pulled Over BY LEO

Today, while parked in a Hobby Lobby parking lot, a police cruiser circled my bus, drove away - came back about ten minutes later and stopped next to me.

I walked out to check what he was doing. He asked me about some guy in a gray sweater who was lurking around some of the other buildings. He said he had gotten a few calls about him and wanted to make sure he wasn’t with me.

I told him - it was just me and a dog, but that I would keep an eye out.

He thanked me and left.

20,000 miles, no pull overs. Did have one ask for a tour of the bus on the coast of WA. Gladly gave him one.
And was boarded by HSA at the Hoover Dam for safety reasons. The officer loved my bus.

I had no issues driving from one state to another because most will only issues a one way permit to residents of that state, all we had was a BOS , insurance, and title so we weren't worried

If your skoolie is still yellow, "watch out for California"!! We were heading down the Oregon coast into northern Calif. when we were pulled over in Crescent City by a CHP. He said "yellow" was illegal in Calif. on a private bus/bus conversion. We proved we lived in Oregon and were just on a visit, so he let us go. When we were pulled over again in Ureka (a little south of Crescent City) by a CHP, he wasn't so tolerant, gave us a choice of returning to Oregon or a citation. It didn't matter that we were only visiting.
I really wanted to ask him if he used to work for the KGB.

Quite a few border patrol checkpoints in the southwest last summer. Mostly waived right through, but had one guy step up the first step and take a look. Sent us on our way.

As a Former LEO of many years I’ll say this,
I never saw any reason to pull a school bus or converted bus over.
