Memories.

Thats beautiful. Thanks Tango for the lyrics, My dad passed a couple years ago leaving a pretty big hole in my life, he was the only person I ever heard repeat the lyrics. On a lighter note, A few years ago at burning man, there was a gentleman that would climb up on an old shipping container at dusk, plug in a an old Fender, and just play while the sun was setting. beautiful, stark contrasts.... I made sure I was back to camp every evening just for that treat..

Interesting they play so late, it's been 35 plus yrs for me But I thought they used to play it around 8pm on the base I was stationed.

At 7am I hear Reveille from Travis AFB which is about 8 miles from me, thats if I sleep with the windows open.

I thought it was late also. I've also noticed they go plus or minus 10 minutes, which I thought was even more odd...

It had the words to all the major calls and I actually had most of them memorized for many, many years. Nowadays...well...I can only do some of Taps...but all of Mess Call and Reveille. In fact I wound up a bugler in the Boy Scouts...until I realized I always had to get up an hour earlier than everyone else. So much for my musical career.
