I bought a 1986 Blue Bird S6000 GMC chassis, with a 427 Gas engine sounds like it's brand new and look like the Zombie Apocalypse already happened. I want to turn it into a weekend warriors to drive around my great state of Colorado and camp. Here are some pictures! tell me what you think! I'm open to suggestion. I have the beginnings of a plan to get hot and cold running water, a generator, propane heat. It has already got 12 volt solar for lights and a 1000 watt inverter. I'm bringing it to a big rig mechanic this week to give it a DOT inspection. Any help form some more experienced cohorts is welcomed.

Looks like a great start. Gas engines have their place, cheap and easy to maintain, but need more maintenance.

looks great!! even a stick shift.. the 427 is a good solid engine, it will drink a bit of gas, bit with the stick shift, you done have the issues of sub par automatics that were often mated to them. parts for those chevy chassis are still pretty readily available.
