I think I saw my unicorn on Google Images...

It was a Thomas Vista, 7 row, and the roof doesn't dip behind the driver, but rather goes up.

Anyone seen one of these in person and if so, and this is a super long shot, any suggestions on how to find one to buy?

I once saw a 6 row but I don't think I've seen a 7 row. Mine is of course a 5 row.. Also my roof goes up behind the driver, haven't seen one that went down.

With the Thomas bodies, they either go up significantly behind the driver, or dip very slightly. One is high ceiling the other is standard.

You should find that many short buses have the high ceiling because a lot of them were SPED buses. These attract federal grants, and high ceilings have been mandated for a long time.

My Thomas Vista has the higher roof line, it was a deal breaker. Most of the Vistas (in FL at least) were full size with the lower standard roof line. I'd say it was relatively rare to find one with the higher line. In fact, I'd say the specs on my Florida bus are pretty rare in general. Full length Vista wheelchair bus, dual factory AC, factory darkened windows, and air suspension on the rear axle. I love this thing.

What part of FL are you in? I'm up north of Orlando a bit.

One thing to watch for on a vista is the leaning. THey often left the factory with a pronounced list to the drivers side.

I'm in Gainesville, bus is 30 mins East of town. Haven't ever noticed any listing.
