Hey again everyone 😑

So, let's resume.

Been going from a massive coolant leak (fixed), some overheating (fixed).

Now when the engine hits a load up hill i'm having UVCH like symptoms that disaperes as soon i pull over, shut of the engine and crank it back up.

I will be honest, i drove 60 miles and first hill had my temperature almost hit red, but managed not to. And after 3 hours of cooling down, was able to nurse drive the bus for an additional 200 miles with the temperature barely rising on one hill. That cooled down like 30 seconds after taking my foot of the gas pedal, ni longer, did not have to stop.

Fast forward, drove it carefully for 30 miles and saw temperature start rising so immidiately lifted my foot from the pedal and temperature was stabilising a little above normal, and ~1 mile after had this first UVCH like symptoms that forced me to pull over.

Waited couple minutes, starts fine, gets me to the closest parking lot. Testing all not getting much more then this p1316 code when it was misfiring.

So i drive another 30 miles, hit a other climbing road, same stuff starts happening before temperature barely rose.

At this point i decided to swap the radiator, and since then no more overheating but have sudden power loss and p1316 showing up. A quick shut off and crank back up the engine solves momentarly the issue but havn't been able to go very far since.

Thermostat and radiator are new. Oils and anti freeze brand new.

Now comes the very hard question to ask.

What seal(s) could have been damaged to sudenly have these symptoms after these two specific overheat events ??

Fluids dont seems to mix so far, no smoke of any kind from tail pipe, no goo in the oil cap or dip stick, but a small amount of smoke coming out of the valve cover oil fill.

Thanks for having already taken the time to read this post, and thank you even more for any information, idea, thoughts or comments.

Cheers

Guess what !

UVCH Pigtail connector on driver side is faulty.

Had no choice 4 years ago to buy Dorman, being stranded in a gas station in middle of nowhere Cali.

Anyways, i called customer service to tell them that i think they are a big rip off scam, and that it was the last Dorman part i would ever buy.

And Ford knows it, that's why there OEM stuff is double the price. That's the way capitalisme goes i guess.

Cheers to all of you who tried to follow this ;)

Capitalism is why you have parts choices, bus choices, and even the choices of which electronic device to post from. Cheers. :^)

Agreed, Communism, you'd have far less choices. Imagine having one government option to choose from.

Capitalism would allow a 3rd party to come in and make a better product than Both Ford and Dorman at a cheaper rate.

3 Cheers for Capitalism.
