Impact Resistant Structural Adhesive?

Have any of you used this type of adhesive for repairs on your conversions?

I have alot of rust and am thinking about using this stuff versus pulling all the windows/side panels just to replace one stick.

I have a body guy friend that says this stuff is stronger than welding...

Replace one stick? My bus only has one stick and it’s attached to the transmission

No idea what is meant by "one stick" but, yes. There are structural adhesives from companies like Sika that are rated as stronger than welding under certain circumstances such as sheet metal to sheet metal bonding. Not for structural elements like ribs though.

OK so apparently I was too cryptic...

I have a pillar to replace due to rust and instead of pulling 2 outside panels and at least 2 whole windows, if I could use an structural adhesive to replace the rusted parts of the pillar, without needing to pull all those other body panels, that would be nice.

If I cut out the bad metal and lay a 1/4 piece of flat steel over the top with the adhesive, I am thinking it would be stronger than the original. Add in a few braces and maybe a few more plates in important areas, maybe with some rivets for good measure.

Throw on some POR-15 afterwards and its as sealed, if not better then it was originally.

If you have the inside panels off and have reasonable access I would consider bolting a support on both sides of the rib. You could also employ some adhesive, but I would rely most heavily on a mechanical attachment. Adhesives are great, but the substrate needs to be properly prepped. They will hold poorly on a surface that is galvanized or has loose rust.

Can you take a picture? It would help a lot to provide better advise.
