Are the inside walls and ceilings made of sheet metal? Is it considered scrap metal? I'm going to a place that pays 4 cents per pound. Could I sell this material (whatever it is) as something else to get more money?

Thanks

If you are not going to retask it for some other purpose on the bus then I would consider it scrap.

You are fortunate to have a place that will pay you.

I pay $36/ton to get rid of mine.

That's awfully cheap for scrap. We are down right now at $5/100lbs, down from $7/100lbs. If you plan on deleting windows, those panels, if solid and not with holes, makes good skin material. Unless you have another use for them, scrap will put gas money in your pocket.

He is getting $0.04 a pound and you are getting $0.05 a pound.

Doesn't seem like a huge difference to me..... Especially when some of us are paying $0.018 a pound for the privilege of dropping off our scrap.

$5 is the lowest it's been here. 20% less is substantial when your talking about a 20K lb bus. They were paying $7 when I dropped off my bus. We have to pay to drop off trash in 2 places in town. one of them is a salvage yard that pays well for all metals.
