How much room should I leave around the windows when I frame? Seems like covering as much as possible is good?

I'm gonna replace mines with rv style windows

Should i go ahead and remove this part of the walls? Initially, I was gonna leave it as to not remove it unnecessarily and regret it but now I'm having second thoughts
