Insurance Woes

After finding out Progressive is not going to renew my policy or write one for the new bus I had to start searching for other options. I called the agent Charlie has recommended (Kelly) and she promptly hooked me up with an Allstate agent that could cover both my buses, granted for not as little as I'm paying now, but that ends. I was able to get a policy for the bus I'm picking up tomorrow for an opening payment of $48. I'll cancel it soon as I get it home. I would be covered under the existing policy, but impound won't except that. When you speak to Kelly tell her everything and your intended plans so there are no surprises.
And as Charlie said, if nothing else, she is nice to talk to. The agent here in Ga. said Kelly had contacts in many states specifically for Skoolies.

I thought that you insured your buses through State Farm like I do?

If not, you may want to consider it. I have insured three buses from purchase through conversion and on the road and State Farm has taken good care of me.

State Farm would not touch it during conversion, but will after. That's what they originally told me when they sent me to the competitor. I vaguely remember him coming back with a quote for conversion, but it was over $800 for liability. I went the other route for $171. State Farm would cover me in this new bus, but the wrecker guy wants paperwork showing insurance on that VIN, because it is a police impound. So it cost me $48. We all know every state is different, even with the same company.

You keep telling me of things State Farm has done for you that they say they wont do here.
