Hey Guys,

Total newb here. I recently became aware of the bus conversion lifestyle, and I'm very interested in doing one myself. I was thinking of an early 2000's E450 short bus with a 7.3L powerstroke. Mainly going to be used for weekend camping and mountain biking adventures in California and probably Oregon/Washington. I've been watching craigslist for the right bus to pop up. I would like to have a bed, kitchen area with a sink and fridge powered by a solar system on the roof. Also probably a pressurized water system of some sort for an outside shower. Open to anything at this point.

My main question at the moment is how I would carry passengers. Is it possible to install a passenger seat? What are the legalities around carrying passengers in the rear area of a converted bus?

Any tips are welcomed and appreciated.

Thanks!
Jake

First off-get out of the habit of calling it a bus. At least until you get it registered + insured, Its a CAMPER or MOTORHOME.
That being said-its camper-you can put seats wherever you want.

Welcome dude.
That's exactly the bus I bought.
I plan on keeping 1-2 seats. Converting the rest.
