Is there a Skoolie community in Minnesota?

Hi! I'm new here, and I've been nervous to post on any Skoolie forums or social media groups -- please be gentle as I know I have a lot to learn..

My partner and I did what everyone advises against -- we were in a bad living situation so we bought a bus to live in. We found a piece of land to rent with friends (another couple) so we're all staying here and feeling safe for now, but this isn't where we want to stay.

We're interested in moving to Minnesota, but I'm afraid we won't be able to keep our bus if we go out there. Does anyone know of skoolie-friendly communities in Minnesota? Ideally we'd like to be near Minneapolis because we have friends there but they don't own land we could park on.

When we found the place we're in now, we had been looking on FB marketplace for RV slips to rent, and in the process of visiting one of those places we stumbled across this piece of land that suited us perfectly. It feels like a huge risk to drive the bus all the way to MN not knowing where we will park, but we don't want to be stuck where we are. For now, I'm thinking maybe we will just stay in state parks while we get to know the area and figure out where we can settle down, but it would be so helpful to have a community in the area and some pointers on where to start looking. Thanks in advance for anything you can offer!

Rent at a trailer park around here is about $700 if you can even find a place that will allow a bus, and that's going to be hard to find around the twin cities.

Hope someone knows better, and will post something more helpful.... good luck.

Hey… I’m building a bus currently, solely to get out of Minnesota. There’s not much of a “community” near the metro areas, what part are you thinking of moving to?
And why are you thinking of moving here? Politics aside, I’ve lived here for almost 7 years, and was ready to move away at year 2. The people here are really cold, and inorganic. At least in and around the metros.
Land can be had for cheap in the northern areas. I also might know of a couple spots you could reach out to. Depends on the type of people you are, and what you’re into.
This is just my opinion, but I’ll be moving yo northern Michigan, and traveling back and forth to the west when my bus is done.
Also, it’s cold. Damn cold here.
