It Seems a TC 2000 is a good choice?

Hello folks
I'm a newbie to your forum and strongly intending (never certain) to get a Bus to travel the USA. Something I can tow my car behind (Dodge avenger) as I hope to work as I fund the trip and mostly live out of the bus.
Nothing is certain as I am planning. But I've travelled plenty before and used to confined spaces, I live on a boat trust me I know

So my initial digging leads me to believe a TC2000 is a good choice?
I've already made a couple of enquiries and I am searching on the VA or NC east coast 200 mile radius or so.

If this comes off (and usually I make things happen) I'd like to make the right choices so I'll trust and compare any responses you folks are kind enough to help with.

Is anyone actually cruising the country in theirs?

i'm now building my 4th bus, and phill's tc2K would beat the crap out of all four of them in top speed, fuel economy, and hill climbing ability. My next cross country traveling bus i build for me is gonna be a tc2k. 5.9 cummins and mt643 if all oges as planned. and gears that are at least 4.44 or better.

Yes, it's a good choice. It's made by Blue Bird company and the TC2000 was their "economy" model. Their "All American" is a more robust, slightly more deluxe model and would be a little more desirable, all other things being equal. Blue Bird is generally considered the best school bus brand- their build quality is the most consistent.

Did the All Americans come with cruise control?

If not, how would one install that on a bus? (I guess I'll search when I'm done posting)

How does the MPG compare between a TC and an AA?

when you say more robust, what do you mean, exactly? Is it a heavier frame and suspension? Is the body different? What is the weight difference?

Seeing as buses are pretty much wildly overbuilt anyway for RV duty, the cheap TC would be the way to go unless you are gonna really overload the thing.

Hey jason, how's about a swimming pool bus?

As for mileage differences, I would guess that on the flats mileage would be pretty close. in the hills, you would see a measurable difference.
