I do not know of a "Jake brake" available for the 5.9. Exhaust brakes are available, are you specifically looking for a "Jake brake" ?
In time I am looking at adding the Telma retarder for my bus.
Have you gotten any idea of the cost?
There are no currently-available school bus engines that have the option of a true Jake brake (the compression-release brake that Class 8 trucks use). Only Crown and Gillig offered engines with Jakes. Exhaust-restrictors won't slow you down much, and can cause other problems along the way. Telmas are the way to go for serious mountain driving, and I believe that all school buses in CO must have Telmas. If I could get a Focal Telma for a decent price I would consider adding it, even with a perfectly good Jake brake on my bus now.

This is a much better price then ebay for us shows. Wonder what import costs would be. I know some time ago the exchange rate was a good bit in our favor, has that evened out?
