i bought a bus... a school bus non the less. hmmm what now. i have had floor plans sprread across the kitchen table, stapled to the walls of my mind, and even a few apps downloaded on the i-pad to help "place" things. and they all have gone to funk. well i guess the first thing to do is to get rid of those seats and make some thinkin room. so, out with old and in with the home.
after 6 hrs of night driving i get it to its build site, right next to my 16ft camper i use for work.

Congratulations on your purchase and welcome to the site!

Look forward to seeing pictures of your progress!

Welcome to the nut house! :) Nice bus!

If you're in a funk, try posting your layout thoughts here. Folks on this board are really great about giving constructive feedback, especially those that have already or are in process of converting.

it has been over a month since i posted on here but that doesn't mean my hands have been idle. 12-14 hr work days then into the bus to bang around a couple hrs a night. 99.99% of the pics i post will be at night time. its not that this is a top secret project that can only be touched while the sun is sleeping, its just the way my schedule lets it work.

*i can't seem to upload more than one photo at a time. i am sure some of you tech savy finger smashers out there could point my pointer in the right direction as to loading more than 1 photo at a time*

It works best to upload them to Photobucket, and then copy and paste the link that Photobucket provides.

bring on the comments!!!! yes i will be using a modified stock tank as my shower basin. yes that is a stainless steel salad bowl also to be modified for use as a bathroom sink. and yes i am waiting to do plumbing and electrical after the "hard construction" has been completed. however i am using as much forsite as i can possibly muster to place water lines and electrical outlets in my mind right before i run another screw through my glove.

i know what you are thinking "WOW, that escalated quickly". and you are correct. turns out that the limited size of pictures that can be uploaded is 2mb(whatever that means). and all my "daylight" photos are too big to post. so get out the NVG's for the rest of the photos from here on out!

pics are taken with an Iphone 5c. if anyone has some ideas on how to shrink the pics down would be awesome too! thatta way im not just filling this post up with large black squares where there should be photos!

After you drill the hole for the drain with a hole saw, take it some where with a press and a set of dimple die's. One squish with a dimple die, and you will have a counter sunk drain so all the water drain's out of the bowl.

Go sign up to photo bucket. Before Admin moved this site again to a different server, we couldn't upload anything to the site.

just got the photo bucket goin. may be another couple days before i can get the pics uploaded. thanks for the tip, i try my best to not get too caught up in the details. so every now and then i need some one to reel me back in

The creativity and diversity here make for some awesome builds. Everything from full on dream cabin to get'r'done now and all in between.

If you get a chance, since you have to work at night, can you draw a floor plan from a top view and scan it? If not, I understand.

this has been quite the experience. work all day, eat dinner, grab a brew, and go work on the love loft. i had to take a break, a long one. two weeks almost. i was starting to get burnt out and i know from past experience what happens to a project after i quit smoldering. but i found a dribble of motivation today when i had take an extra long lunch to go and get my dog out of the camper because i forgot and left the heater on this morning. so, plumbing starts monday after i run back to civilization for supplies that will be long and drawn out process because i have never done plumbing from scratch. never mind the fact il be using two different sources: shore and on-board. iv worked on enough yachts, cuddy cabin, and house boats to know the on-board side of things but blending that with shore pressure could be tricky. well till then have a great weekend!

And I found out that you can resize your pics on photobucket as well. I was doing it before and then uploading. Nice. Wow.. you move fast. Nice dog.. big.. looks like a boxer sort of.
