Care to brag a little, or express some joy over your skoolie triumphs and good times?

Please don't click away from this thread without sharing something about your bus or skoolie lifestyle that is a happy thought for you.

Be jubilant! Spread a little cheer to keep us excited about this lifestyle.

Woo hoo!

I was overjoyed to learn my bus would do 85mph on cruise control with no ill effects for a full tank. Not so overjoyed at the 7mpg.

I love being comfortable with everything I really need, including food, workspace, stove, fridge, bathroom, air conditioning, and a comfy bed. It’s an amazing place to avoid all distractions and clear the mind. That’s not why I made it, but spending time by myself in it is a little piece of heaven!

I do not consider myself to be very artistic, yet I love the fact that my stripped out bus is a blank canvas, waiting for me to express myself:smile:

Thanks for sharing. :Thanx:

One of the reasons I'm all about getting a bus is the ability to make it my own, just mine, all mine.

Test of perseverance

Happy to have figured out AC, close to figuring out DC, think I figured out starting problem. Bus has gorgeous cedar paneling, lots of different colors, all windows still in place and is a comfortable, though incomplete home.
A skoolie (at least for those of us with modest skill sets) is a lesson in perseverance and trusting in your dream.

I love the fact that my hotel/motel travels with me and I don't have to worry about what kind of sex, drug and beer party took place in my bed with the last 300 occupants.

Love my full house 40 footer renting $100 a month on the beach in Southern Mexico

Renting "sounds" like a nice option to recover some money. But the logistics sound like a nightmare. What kind of insurance to carry. What liability the renter has. Will they break stuff? Personally I think it would be more than $100 a weekend let alone a month. What has your experience been renting it out.

Lots of light

We were determined to block as few windows as possible. This meant raising the kitchen sink so we didn't hunch over it and coming up with amazing curtains. After hours days weeks of discussion, we went with heavy blockout fabric (84 inches wide-$21 a yard), clips, magnets and steel cables. We have a wonderful view of our surroundings that fancy RVers are jealous of but when night comes, viola', we very easily have a wonderful private haven!
