but state law says we can't take pictures of fish under 4 inches...so no pics were taken

Fun was had by all

Re: El Tortuga

After the first trip some things need to be done

1)fix back door handle,I used it more in 2 days than in 10 years of schooling....so like Rainbows..it's broke :?

2)way to hold back door open so we don't get squashed!!

3)some kind of lock box

4)stairs/steps into back

5)remove back 12' of seats for storage and room for 2 cots

6)remove/seal up entrance door and install co-pilot seat

7)wall off cockpit and sound deaden it

8)install alt door down the side

those are the use it as it is mods

Re: El Tortuga

started the day by pulling out the battery and noticing I have work to do to the tray.
I cleaned residue off the battery, checked water level and hooked it up to charge.
Spent the better part of a half hour cleaning and reaming/cutting the clamps they were nasty and not making good contact

the moisture you see wasn't water/acid it was some sticky crap sprayed on to stop corrosion and just like all that stuff the outside that was sprayed was fine, everything under it was corroded

I needed to make room for 2 cots and stuff
for a trip in 2 weeks
pulled off seat covers,foam
img_64000_921e22a5ef4456a6bcf62a11cca62e1d.jpg

then made sparks
img_64000_a86c40f5ccfdab24fe0a714c99f1ffbd.jpg

unbolted from the side rails
and throw out back door
img_64000_44d0eb92b9a5dd3d773660145732d429.jpg

so we now have a place to sleep and strap down a fridge

I needed to get some air moving more efficiently so I grabbed the box fan and and dropped the window mmm..not enough air so I grabbed the red handle  of the emergency exit window and then opened it...I didn't fall out 8)
It was made for a $10 box fan

and and the last picture...no..It's not a wound :p
I found the 2 seats where the blue and purple fairies sat and am covered head to toe in glitter!!! it has stuck good due to sweat

Re: El Tortuga

El T.

Taking out the seats is indeed an arduous task. Building the inside of a bus is very rewarding because you make it to fit your needs.

I love fruit punch Gatorade.

Re: El Tortuga

I was able to sneak a few hours of work in the last week
and started removing the wire covers etc to access the wireing and to make walls smooth

img_64306_6fec3e9bb7e95335f8eaeeb64b325760.jpg

I know why the bus has a 190amp alt now
Sealed beams for all the flashing lights  8 lights at 100 watts 65+ amps!damn dont need to worry about snow and ice building up on them....havent even looked at the normal turn and brake lights yet

So my "simple" idea of replacing the bulbs with LED's and rewiring to use them for hazards and high brake lights has been put on hold until I can find a suitable fix(ie:cheap  )

I do want to keep them for visibilty

Re: El Tortuga

would that sheet metal in the seats be large enough to cover your windows if you wanted too?

Re: El Tortuga

It was hot so I needed to get air out and in quickly
So I installed a quick hillbilly ceiling fan,I used a scrap pc of wire cover and 2 factory screws

Re: El Tortuga

Sometimes quick and simple works out great--that looks like a very functional table.
