Lay floor longways or width of the bus?

I have 12 packs of t&g vinyl planks and I can’t decide which way to lay the flooring. Any experience with this or suggestions?

I **think** (not a flooring expert) that one would have fewer cuts and less waste going long ways. If there is a design reason to go side-to-side, I think it will work fine.

The laminate I used in Missy's all blends together so orientation does not matter in terms of "look" so I went long ways.

There should be no waste either way you do it other than what's left when you cut the last piece. When you get to and end of a row, the piece you cut off to finish is the piece that starts the next row. I don't see a difference in which way you do it other than esthetics.

With the planks expansion is the same all directions. Wood product you'd want to go long way they expand mostly one way and you don't want that over suck a long run as a bus. With what you got it's all in how you want it to look.

Lay some loose each way see what you like. I'd run long way for less cutting, especially if the measurements work out to not have to cut any planks the long way
