Leaks.. do I leave this bus behind?

I just realized the $290 cover I posted is actually a $643 cover on 55% off sale, think I need to jump on it now.

Yea, that's why I bought two 30'x30' tarps for about $110 each and duct taped them together. I thought it would be great - up until the first windstorm hit. My poor taped tarp has taken an absolute beating this winter.

I don't remember any 20-30 mph sustained / 40-60 mph gust wind storms last winter. This winter we've had at least 5; and I don't know how many more until spring. What makes it worse is that my house is situated E-W with my bus on the South side. The area between the bus and house acts like a wind tunnel and literally sucks the tarp off the bus. The only saving grace is my detached garage sits just West of the bus, shielding it from some of the wind (but not much).

Pretty much all of the tarp's aluminum eyelets have been pulled out (bungee cords going under the bus), and a good number ripped through. On the latest windstorm (we saw 60+mph gusts!), I was trying to adjust the tarp and ended up ripping a hole in the tarp with the exhaust stack. When it ripped I slipped and went down hard on gravel with my right knee, hip, and hand. That took a few days to mend....

Anyway, I'm little wiser about taped-tarps-over-buses now and I think I know what changes I'll make next year if I still need the tarp.

That's strange, I ordered the 37'er at 7pm. I just went back to the site to check something and they've gone up in price by $57. I paid $288.99, now they are $345.99, same cover. I saved there, but I went to purchase the propane tank and they went up $40 today.
