Lion Electric Schoolie

Jesus christ, man. This is the kind of thing that drives the public to mistrust alternative energy initiatives. I support spending public funding on worthwhile endeavors, but I think all too often the wrong people seize the opportunity to cash in.
That was your comment about a $475 million loan from the DOE. I'd like someone to cite the Constitution when telling me how that "loan" was legal.

(You support "spending public funding on worthwhile endeavors", and so do I. As a voter who believes that we the people make the laws, I'd like to know these expenditures are actually following the law. As someone who was approached twice to "lease" my farm land for solar panels, I've looked into the way that money was flowing. It wasn't via the Constitiution.)

While I don't think it's realistic to have a sort of direct-democracy for every single initiative, I do agree with the sentiment that:

I'd like to know these expenditures are actually following the law.

Our elected officials are *supposed* to be the people we have chosen and trust to make these decisions for us. I don't want to spend all of my time researching Lion and making sure I am OK with giving them funds for R&D. I want to elect a representative who I have decided has a solid head on their shoulders and can make sensible decisions.

See: Citizens United
The decision that put public policy up for sale. Are you surprised the money is being moved around without asking you?

Electric school buses, IMO, are an application for proven and reliable technology, not experimentation. Not enough people were given the opportunity to question this *loan*. ALSO, If my money is being loaned...should I not receive interest, or a share in whatever profits are generated with our tax dollars? 🤔

I swear man, sensible people on the left and right side of the isle agree on a lot of common-sense **** when we're not being played against each other like marionettes.

I concur with your last sentence. As far as trusting our elected officials, sure, but when I read the law, especially regarding that HUGE $$$$$$$ offer I got....the law was NOT being followed. And our national debt is.....there because of "left and right" as you said.

Well can you elaborate on what you observed when they were trying to put solar on your land? If you have direct experience as you describe, tell us about it.

Too political for here.

But no, dude, you're claiming it was unconstitutional...if that's your claim then I feel you should be willing to explain how. Otherwise how can it hold water? I mean I genuinely want to know, it's not the first time I have heard of the insulting **** that happens to farmers when they come for your land...

Uh, I posted a textbook definition of a word and you ridiculed me and used different logial fallacies to avoid that issue, so why the "genuine" interest now? What weight would my personal testimony hold compared to the Mayo clinic book and it's definition?

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame me.

Too political for here.

Anyone can quote a textbook. Not everyone has had firsthand experience receiving an offer from the gov't such as this.

But ok, whatever you brought it up lol
