it might be.. depends on what you actually want to use it for. you should find out the hours of operation, transmission type and so forth. the price looks to be normal for that type of bus sold by a dealer.

The new motor is certainly a big plus, but I'd also want to know the condition of the tires, brakes and transmission. Those are pretty expensive to replace. A new set of tires alone can run near $2000. Ask whether the seller can show you the maintenance records. If it's been well maintained it could be a winner.

Diesel engines generally have a much longer service life than gassers, but the bolt-ons (alternator, water pump, transmission, etc.) don't live nearly as long.

Furnaces, stoves, and roof air conditioners are not cheap when you buy them new.

I would snap them up. A lot of roof airs are 13000 BTU. They are good enough to cool your bus, provided that it is not 100 degrees outside. Parking in the shade helps a lot.

It might work for a "zone" say bedroom....skoolies have a lot of realistate in them unless your spin 8 foot 2x4's

if they have been sitting a long time, the orifices can be plugged up, and possibly things like connectors in the circuit boards corroded. that is a chance you have to take if something is free. if you can test them before removal it would be best as parts are sometimes more than a good used one that works on cl., and you should always insist on seeing a cl item work before you buy.

Good score. I'm a little confused by the picture of the engine. The ribs on the valve cover, are they raised? If they are, I think you have a DT360. The badge says DT466. The 466 has the ribs indented.

i just use semi gloss and flat enamel from wal mart.

I stopped using flat because it stains to easy,since it's not really "sealed" we paint trucks all the time with satin or semi-gloss enamel
