I've searched the boards and everyone seems to agree that magnets are a bus owners best friend and I'm starting to see why.

What are your favorite magnets and where did you get them?
What is the best source for bulk magnets?
Is there a common rating system for magnets?
Have you found any specialty magnets that have proven to especially useful?

I have several office supply type page hangers with a nice magnet and clip and I'm seeing strong magnets with hooks on line. What have you found to be the most useful

I must have missed something. Why are people using magnets?

I guess since the O.E.M. interior is basically all sheet steel, magnets can come in handy for holding things?

the "common rating system" I think is how many pounds of holding power they have.

Just do not plan on repurposing a magnet out of the hard drive from a 1980/90 something main frame computer.
You might never get it off.

My interior is going to be mostly wood as I am focusing on insulating the crap out of my bus. But if you choose to keep your inner skin K&J magnetics is my favorite place to pick up specialty magnets.

I also got some nice strong neodymium magnetic hooks from amazon to hang kitchen utensils on the side of a microwave to save counter space.

...use 'em for holding work light to the roof, holding back curtains out of the way. Was going to sew them into the curtains and hang them from the wire chase...didn't happen.

I've got fridge magnets all over the roof/ceiling of the bus.

I found some called magnet rocks at several of the local beach stores and they are various shapes.
I used them for the pull knobs on all of my overhead storage bins to hold the fold up doors open as needed.
They are a decorative look? For me anyway?
I have some that are flat circle, oblongs, small rectangles, squares ,triangle ish, and even a couple of heart shaped ones.
Thy are about a 1/2" thick.
I wanted to drill them and put a regular knob bolt through? But so far even a diamond bit for tile and glass won't even scratch them so liquid nail time consuming time it was to make them stay and look good and clean when the glue dried.
They were something like 10-for 2$ or something like that and my kids and I got to go through a bin of over 1000 to pick what we wanted.
Good luck
