And temps between -6 and -15 will sure let you know what your maintenance program is right. No time to be sloppy or cheap. A breakdown in this weather could be fatal.

50/50 fuel, Power Service and a properly maintained air system will keep you going. Webasto ran for about 20 hrs this trip, slept nice and warm the whole trip.

Preventative maintenance sure pays for itself!

100% Sure wouldnt want a conventional bus though. Mountain passes we even worse.

Heck, it was like that from the house to the dates and back. It was supposed to be sunny for 4 days straight. Wow, did they screw that one up!

Mountain passes are fun. Going up and going down.

When we moved from the Midwest to the West Coast we used the bus to move all our earthly possessions. I-90 was a treat but the old girl held together with only one issue. We pulled the continental divide going 20 MPH without indecent. The only issue we had was we lost a windshield wiper the complete blade in some nasty winds. Other than that it was our Motel, moving truck, and a great memory.

There is no substitute for good vehicle maintenance when on the road. Glad to hear you made it safe Opus!
