Make pics show without logging in?

Hey all, any idea how some pics show without being logged in and some only show up after I log in? Are the pics showing without being logged in possibly linked on an image host or something?

I like to surf from my work computer, can't log in from work, and pics are nice to see! TIA!

May be associated with each members' UserCP. Such as in Album Settings or Profile Privacy. A user may set to viewablity to "Members Only". Perhaps affords more access once logged in.

I seem to remember that you can click on the "placeholder" for the image and view it. They do not show inline, but you can see them.
