Pretty sweet old flxi. I would remark about your suggesting re-wiring it would be "easy", though. Then again, electrical work has never been my strong point. Good luck, and sorry to hear that it's due to unemployment. I hope things pick up for you. My Aunt lives in La., and she always tells me how hard it is for many to get by.

Ah-h-h yes...remote Pacific islands...where there's nothing between you and the cold hard beach but some skinny native...

Hope all goes as planned for ya Mac! 8)

I don't know how this will sit with you, but to me it offers hope... I watched a 60's-64, I believe, FLXI stay posted for about 3 mos. before it sold. It was an older fellow that had it posted, and he was firm on his price around 7K, IIRC, and it was in about similar condition as yours, basically solid and ripe for conversion. Anyhow, it did sell, it just took a bit. Keep on truckin'...

I always take the attitude that if it was meant to be your boat, the owner will not be able to sell it before you have the cash.
If he can sell it, either sailing is not to be the plan, or there is another one with your name on it.

Good luck, Mac!
