ARR. I have been given until the end of April to get my bus moved to a new location.

Oh shoot!! Have anything sorted out? I've heard of some folks having success storing and working on buses in storage unit lots. Might be something to check out.

Did some work on the bus today. First time since October. Working on down pipes from my butterfly exhaust manifolds to horizontal pipes running beside the transmission.
Noticed bus has no transmission cooler or optional filter :(

Went out today to move the bus because of water construction in the trailer park. The bus had been sitting since I picked her up. I turned on the propane, connected the battery, hopped into the driver's seat, turned the key and it started. Woo hoo It was a little loud without an exhaust but I was able to move the bus. Ready for the excavator, and the construction crew :)

Been told to get the bus moved or get evicted :(
Did a system check...
Have park lights, hazard lights, dome lights, dash lights and dimmer works, clearance lights. No signal lights or headlights. Checked fuses all ok. Power to headlight connector. Is there a fuse / breaker in the headlight switch?
Can not figure out how to remove headlight switch. Was able to unscrew nut on dash but not remove knob.
Anyone know how to remove the knob?

Arrr: looking for an inspection facility is not going too well. Either they are not certified for propane or their shop is not equipped for a 20000 lb bus. Search continues.

Woo hoo found an inspection facility.
Have new quote on wheels & tires
Wheels = 22.5 X 6.75 steel bud 429.95 ea + tax
Tires = 275/70R22.5 Hercules H-301 HWY MXD 364.63 ea + tax

Because my gm hubs are from 1974 and local heavy duty truck junk yards sell anything over 10 years old as scrap. Which is a terrible shame.

Dang. At those prices, I'd just have to pass or get out of the hobby.

Question....
I need to replace the headlight dimmer switch. It's currently on the floor near the driver's left foot. I'm wondering if I could move it to the bus switch panel and not screw up future inspection.
Thanks for your time & input

you can move it wherever you want.. I didnt realize dimmer was part of inspectin maybe in some states.. personally I LOVE the foot pedal switch thats in my older bus... my newer bus has it on the steering column like a regular car...

I find that the floor mount dimmer switch gets dirty and rusts fast.

Also if it fails you loose your headlights

Not sure if it's in the original position but it caught a lot of dirt and moisture were it is.

I have 2 vacuum gauges 1 works. The other I pulled all the fittings apart to fit the new gauge. Inside the gauge there was a wad of "filter" like material. Is this normal?

EDIT
I'm thinking someone shoved a dowel or match stick in the gauge in the buses past history.
