My bus seems to be an odd bird...

Howdy!

I've had my beastie bus a couple of years & am finally getting started on the minimal converting I want to do. Which is YAY! But, even after many, MANY scourings of tha interwebz...I just can't seem to find even ONE other bus like it. Which is WAH Wah waaaaah.

It's a 40ft long '93 Blue Bird tc2000. With no rear window & those amazing huge windows down the sides. I know it was a party bus in its Life immediately prior to me...but, before that, i have no idea what purpose it served.

Does anyone have any clues for me?

Are you confident about beastie being a TC2000? Looks more like a BB Transit bus. Not an LTC40 but maybe a CSRE3904 or 3700. Offered w/o rear windows. Idk for sure.

I always thoughtr the TC's had 2 headlights and not 4

Thanks for the responses. I certainly took the info prior owners gave me at face value. A family member bought it for me & I was just so thrilled to have it that I suppose it just didn't matter. ����

I did do much searching without the tc2000 & including all sorts of other terms I'd come across...transit, commercial, coach, etc. With no luck. But, I will definitely search vin & see what I can learn.

Regardless...I do sooo LOVE my Buttah B Busta Blue Bird tha Third �� love how open & bright it is inside those massive windows & love that without rear window, there's a perfect sized area in back, behind the last side windows, with only access being the smaller locking rear/side door...it's a PERFECT space for my little "safe room". Relatively speaking, of course. ��

Yep that's a BB transit/commercial bus. Less ribs and less rub rails than a school bus, better windows, but usually a lower suspension.

Looks familiar. My guess would be a CSRE the LTC40s are more of a full size coach.

Check out the Blue Bird Q-Buses, produced '92-'01. Diesel versions were equipped with Cummins 5.9 or ISB. Appears to be the closest match with yours.
