In 2007, my husband and I bought a 1990 Thomas pusher with a rebuilt Detroit engine. All the seats had already been stripped out, but nothing else done to refurbish interior. This was fine with us because our plan was to use the bus as our "moving van" to relocate from NC to AZ to live with my elderly parents who needed help. Which we did, the bus handled the cross-country move just beautifully!
We are currently undecided whether we will go forward to convert the bus to a useful RV, or sell it ... for the last 8 years it has served as storage for furniture and other worldly goods while we looked after my folks, and that has saved us about $400 a month which would have been the cost of using a storage facility.
Glad to be here and I enjoy all the photos and facts and helping hands.
