National School Bus Yellow

I think it's a case of "you haven't gotten caught yet. I imagine it's got to be a prick cop to pull you for the color of your vehicle as though being Yellow some how makes a difference, ludicrous.

Whaaat, the fine is only $25-$100. You could get an awful lot of tickets before exceeding the cost of a paint job.

Seems strange that they would require you to remove the flashing warning lights as though we skoolies don't need the attention

One of the passive safety features of school buses is the bright yellow color.

It is universally recognized, and it stands out among all the other vehicles.

Personally, I want that color preserved for school buses and a few others likely to be carrying large numbers of children.

Does my large family of 6 kids not qualify for a passive safety feature like that?

Sure, when they are on their way to school or maybe church.

It won't be a safety feature if we fill the roads with bright yellow vehicles.

Why make it so personal? I have kids too.

Before I painted my bus other driver's were much more courteous and other school bus driver's did wave.

Now that my paint is complete I get these intense stares from school bus driver's and other vehicles now cut me off like any other vehicle.

People are cautious with a yellow bus. At the same time they're invisible.

That's whole point of getting rid of the yellow...nobody sees you as a school bus

Well, I'm regularly enjoying people pulling out in front of me now that I've got a way off yellow paint job.

Next time I paint I'll leave the front and back end walls yellow, just painting the roof and sides of the bus. Get some respect, and by the time they see it's not a real school bus it's already to late.
