So I’m gonna start this off with saying I am brand new to the bus community and know nothing about electrical. However I just bought a 2001 gmc Short bus. I DID NOT cut any wires yet, but took the flange off the bottom of the roof vent / emergency hatch. Shortly after that I tried to start my bus and it won’t. It has power, all the lights come on, But it won’t start. Won’t even crank. I do hear a click from what I think is the celinoid in the electrical cubby above my head. I’m thinking it is a interlock issue. The bus ran and drive fine yesterday and no lights were left on. Any help would be appreciated.

Some emergency hatches have a switch built into them. Take a closer look to see if there might be a wire in the area of the roof escape trim, and make sure the emergency-exit latching part is latched securely.
